Common ingredients and a little bit cooking effort could produce great flavors. The Pork with Green Pepper recipe I am about to write about today is a great example of that!
I am also a big fan of dishes like pulled pork. They tastes amazing, however, it is a little bit time consuming to prepare. So when I need to make a quick but tasty meal after work with pork as the main ingredient, this is my go-to dish.
The key for getting a good flavor into the pork is marinating it before cooking. I used salt and black pepper for seasoning, and the usage of oil and starch helps to keep the meat tender and juicy after quick stir-frying.
I like to enjoy this dish with a bowl of rice so the rice will soak up all the flavors. I also think the crunchiness of the green pepper, tenderness of the meat and softness of the rice all complement each other very well. That’s a nice reward for a short 20 minutes of cooking effort.
